| Outside the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. The museum was built around the former Lorraine Motel at 450 Mulberry Street, where Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968. The wreath on the balcony marks the spot where Dr. King was standing when he was fataly shot. A wreath has been maintained there ever since. |
